Prospects for Translation

The last three decades have seen a tremendous flowering of interest in works from the Tibetan tradition. Yet fewer than three percent of the works available in Tibetan have been translated. We stand at the very beginning of this exciting venture.

Since 1973, Dharma Publishing has released 22 volumes of translations directed at every level of understanding. These works have been carefully chosen to convey essential elements of practice and provide the basis for intensive study. They include biographies, works on philosophy and psychology, Sutras, Abhidharma texts, works on the Bodhisattva path, instructions from lineage masters, and meditation guides.
